Mullayanagiri Ride [Ride 16]
This was the 15th ride conducted by Bulletizers Motorworld and this was undoubtedly one of the best one.
Date : Apr 21st and 22nd
Assembly : 5:30 AM
Distance : 600 Kms (Approx.)
We assembled near Nelamangala and after the briefing we headed to our first destination, the Mullayanagiri Peak. Standing at 6300 FT above the sea level it was one of the highest and that makes it a spectacular view point from where you can almost touch the clouds. Bikes go all the way to the top and you have to climb some steps to enter the temple premises and the tip of the peak itself. A perfect place for shooting some time-lapse videos.
Post that we headed to our homestay located at Ballavara via the Bhadra tiger reserve. This is reserved area and restricted for most of the public. We had to request the officers to allow us in with a condition that we were not supposed to stop anywhere until we exit the reserved are.W
This was a road to heaven with breathtaking view! (See the video below). Road condition is fairly good but on a HImalayan it was a piece of cake. Do not attempt taking your car here. It is not wide enough in some are and the guards at the check post will send you back in the first place. After this stretch we reached the Homestay, we were welcomed by the staff there. Mr. Ajay, the owner of the homestay was just amazing. This is the best homestay available in that area. Here's the link to it if you are planning to do this trip - Brindavan Homestay
We settled for the day, food and campfire recharged us for Day 2.
We visited Hebbe Falls, as Hebbe falls is inside the protected forest, we hired jeeps to get there. Yet another great spot where our members spent some quality time indeed. And yes you need to trek a little to reach the spot. The trails are well marked and takes about 25 minutes to reach.
