Day 1 – 23rd Jan 2016 The first day was pretty long one, about 400Kms so we had to leave Bangalore before the traffic builds on 23rd Saturday morning. We met our co-riders (Kapil and Kavya) near Hebbal, Bangalore and at around 5 AM we started our journey. It was a cold morning and we had to have a cup of hot coffee, we stopped as we reached outskirts of Bangalore (Bangalore-Hassan road). We got enough time to introduce everyone and tighten the saddle bags. We moved as fast as we could as the distance was long and there comes the first challenge, Mahesh’s Electra had developed some issues with the ignition switch and stopped on the highway. We had some Yezdi riders riding along with us and they tried helping us as we were trying to fix it. We had to bring in the mechanic from nearby village and we started after bypassing the ignition (Now the Electra needed no keyJ). The ride was going smooth, we had breakfast, roads were good and here comes the second challenge. Kapil’s Thunderbird has a flat tyre! Our tyre inflator couldn’t save us as the puncture was real bad. We spent for about 2 hours finding tyre shop and he didn’t know how to assemble the rear disc assembly. With the help of Mahesh he could fix the tyre somehow. When we reached Jog falls it was around 7.30 PM. The officials there did not allow us to camp outside as we reached late there was no time to take permission. We had to go for room. Day 2 – 24th Jan 2016 We had amazing view of the falls and power plant early in the morning and started from Jog at around 10 AM. We made our way to Yana, it was very humid outside and was 107 Kms away. We had to trek a bit to reach the top and it was worth it. The trekking took some time, by 3 PM we left Yana and the destination was Gokarna which was about 60Kms away. As we reached Gokarna we checked into the Patang Beach resort and as the sun was going down we had our tents set! We needed some serious rest.

Day 3 – Jan 25th 2016 Day started with amazing sunrise, waking up from the tent in the Gokarna Beach. We spent half a day playing in the beach, burying our friend in the beach while he slept and so on. By afternoon we were ready to leave Gokarna and headed towards Davangere as we planned to skip Magod falls as there was no much water at that time. We took the Yellapur road and reached Davangere by evening. Again we needed to take rest as it was an exhausting day! We stayed in a lodge that night. The roads all the way was too good.

Day 4 – Jan 26th 2016 The last day of the ride, it was The Republic Day. We were back on the road heading towards Bangalore. Along way we met so many riders who were out for the Breakfast ride. We reached Bangalore by 3 PM. Overall it was an amazing journey with new members in the club tackling so many challenges which taught us so much. And yea, we are planning the next one. Watch out for the announcement soon!

Ride safe, cheers!
