We started from Bangalore at around 5 AM in the morning on Aug 15th 2014 - Independence Day. The next stop was breakfast in Mandya ( Bangalore- Mysore Highway). We reached mysore at around 8 AM and continued our journey towards Gundlupet.
From Gundlupet we took the Kerala (Sulthan Bathery) road and entered the state. The Ride in the Ghat sections, hairpins was exciting one and we soon reached Wayanad. Rented a room in wayanad and from the next morning on 16th august 2015 we covered each and every road around Wayanad district. There are attractive places everywhere you look around in Wayanad like Chembra Peak, Thirunelli Temple,Banasura Sagar Dam,Banasura Hill,Lakkidi View Point,Edakkal Caves,Soochippara Falls (Sentinel Rock Waterfall), Neelimala Viewpoint, Pookot Lake etc,.
Then on 17th January early morning we made our entry to Tamil Nadu via the Nilgiris and my bike tyre got punctured:-P . We had to go Ooty to get the tyre repaired!. And the surprising news was that most of the bike workshops were closed as it was a holiday. We finally found one shop and the mechanic didn't know how to undo the tyre! we had to do it ourselves. Once the tyre got fixed we took the Ooty-Masinagudi road. We must say that was one of the breath-taking road we have ever been to with numerous hairpin curves. It started raining as we took the mysore road which caused the delay, it was 12'o clock in the midnight when we reached home! We had entered 2 states in 3 days! that was a memorable trip!
